Scientific Subcommittee: Sequencing and Assembly
The sequencing and assembly standards subcommittee will determine proposed standards for Phase I and future reference genome assemblies. Standards will inform on genome sequence generation, genome sequence assembly, and quality measurement, for genomes of all sizes, repeat content, and polymorphism level. Research areas for remaining genome assembly problems will also be identified.
